The Art and Communication Department at Thomas More University invites applications for a full-time, renewable faculty positions beginning in fall 2021 or January 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter. We seek humanities-based teacher-scholars with a commitment to teaching undergraduate courses related to communication, public relations, digital culture, social and global media and entertainment, and interactive media.
Faculty appointees will join a Department with a broad curricular footprint that includes art history, visual arts, theater, documentary film making, graphic design, journalism and communication. Appointees will be encouraged to collaborate with colleagues across departments and colleges, as well as in related departments such as Computer Information Systems to develop new courses and initiatives.
Appointees will also have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in the Department and across the University to design the Communication curriculum and expand offerings by developing cross-disciplinary programs to meet student needs. Thomas More fosters a liberal arts centered approach to learning and encourages faculty collaboration across disciplines and departments and student engagement both inside and outside the classroom.
