Description

This position is temporary. Anticipated end date is 11/30/2022.

Basic Purpose

This is a temporary position to support the university’s transition from Jenzabar CX to Jenzabar One.  The programmer will develop new applications and customize existing software to meet business unit needs.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, document, layout, code, test, and implement software according to user requirements
  • Analyze and modify existing applications to improve functionality and process flow
  • Architect small to medium sized projects
  • Assist with developing and maintaining data integrations between systems
  • Database maintenance and data cleanup
  • Serve on J1 Implementation Team

 

Education, Specialized and/or Technical Knowledge Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or similar degree in an equivalent program of study combined with relevant work experience
  • Background in information systems, programming, or database administration
  • Relational database experience is required. Knowledge of Informix and/or MS SQL Server is a plus, but experience with other RDMS’s (Oracle, DB2, MySQL, etc.) will also be considered.
  • Experience writing and supporting complex SQL statements using multiple joins and adhering to business rules and requirements
  • Web development experience using c#, ASP.NET MVC, Javascript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, bootstrap, etc.
  • Preferred higher education experience
