Thomas More University seeks an innovative leader, committed to the Catholic mission and knowledgeable of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition to serve as Dean of the College of Business, with a start date of June 1, 2021, or as soon as possible thereafter.
Thomas More University celebrates its Centennial in 2021. For 100 years, Thomas More has been creating a high-quality academic environment through individual attention and an emphasis on student success. Recently recognized by Georgetown University as having the highest long-term gain among four-year institutions in Kentucky, Thomas More challenges students to examine the meaning of life, their place in the world, and their responsibility to others. Located in suburban Northern Kentucky, Thomas More offers easy access to Cincinnati, OH, and Lexington, KY. The College of Business currently offers undergraduate programs in the areas of Accounting, Business Administration, and Information Systems, and graduate and professional programs in Business Administration. The departments of Accounting and Business Administration are accredited by ACBSP. Ensuring growth in both traditional and adult programs, extending the reach and reputation of the College, and working with the Office of Advancement to cultivate friends and donors are primary responsibilities for the Dean. Thomas More University encourages interdisciplinary, experiential, and study abroad/away learning and fosters cross-college collaboration among its colleges.

The Dean reports to the Provost and is charged with the administration and leadership of the departments, faculty, and staff within the College of Business. The Dean is a member of the Provost’s Academic Leadership Team and the President’s Council.
Candidates must have an earned doctorate in a discipline offered by the College from a regionally accredited university to qualify for the rank of Professor or Associate Professor and may carry his/her/their previously-earned tenure after one year in post. Successful candidates must also demonstrate, through a record of achievements, an entrepreneurial spirit, an ability to foster innovation, and a capacity to inspire faculty and staff through a compelling vision for the College.

Semi-finalists will be asked to submit a one-page reflection on the Catholic Intellectual Tradition and a one-page reflection on their experience with DEI. Application reviews will begin on November 20th and continue until a finalist is identified.
