Description

 This position is 12 hours a week.

Basic Purpose:  To perform administrative and clerical support as needed for the faculty, Chair, and Vice-Chair of the Department of Business Administration.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities 

 

  • Performs administrative tasks at the direction of the Chair & Vice-Chair of the department 

  • Researches current trends amongst similar colleges/departments/programs 

  • Writes and edits documents, marketing materials, and newsletters 

  • Creates spreadsheets and analyzes data as needed 

  • Attends department meetings to take notes as needed and available 

  • Keeps current on new technologies and their uses 

  • Compiles and generates reports needed for the functioning of the department and program and other academic initiatives 

  • Provides general office/administrative and other services to Chair, vice-chair, and faculty of department 

         Answers questions and provides general information to students and adjunct faculty 

        Trains and supervises the Department of Business Administration work-study students under the direction of the chair/vice-chair 

oCompile list of duties in writing 

oSummarize work-study activities and submit to Chair weekly/monthly as required 

 

Education, Specialized and/or Technical Knowledge Requirements  

 

Associate degree or equivalent education preferred 

              Two to three years of office experience required
