Professor Gilday is a 1975 graduate of Thomas More College and received his M.B.A. from Xavier University. Tom has been teaching at Thomas More since 1979 and served as chairperson of the department for twenty years. He has been a certified public accountant since 1977 and has managed his small public accounting firm since 1980. As a practicing CPA, he is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Ohio Society of CPAs, and works closely with Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati businesses to secure co-op and career placements for Thomas More students. He currently serves as the faculty coordinator of the volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program with sites in Covington and Over-the-Rhine in Cincinnati. Adding an international perspective to his teaching, Tom traveled to Japan and Singapore in 1992 as a participant in a program entitled “Doing Business in Asia.” Since 1999, he has been leading groups on service learning projects in Northwestern Jamaica, working at various children’s homes and schools.
