Athletic Event Worker

Description: I am looking for workers to fill positions at athletic events such as ticket takers, scoreboard operators, concession workers, ball retrievers (for soccer and volleyball), etc. Working an event includes set-up and take-down of the event. If you need work-study hours, please come see me in the Connor Center. My office is to the right of the lobby (coming in) in the back.

Description: • Program Assistant at Latonia Elementary will provide educational and enrichment activities for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Program Assistant will support the goals and objectives of the community learning center site, including the district-wide community learning center initiative of transforming schools into centers of community. • Maintain a safe and orderly environment. • Implement student discipline policy. • Attend required professional development throughout the year. • Be familiar with and implement policies and procedures. • Provide a positive place for children to come during out-of-school time hours. • Provide academic and/or enrichment activities for children to assist with meeting state testing goals. • Personally supervise children at all times to ensure safety. • Create and set-up activities as directed. • Provide proper record keeping as instructed. • Maintain a calm, patient and professional demeanor with students, families and staff. • Carry out other job related tasks as directed by site coordinator.

Description: As an intern, students will be given the opportunity to expand their skills and abilities with the following job responsibilities: 1. Writing stories for the monthly electronic newsletter. 2. Updating the website with photos, articles, resources, and service learning projects. 3. Locating resources for specific projects in the planning stages. 4. Develop and convey a deep knowledge of service learning methodology and practice. 5. Develop professional network of education and business partners within service learning. 6. Co-serving 2-3 schools in the Initiative as a service learning assistant. 7. Participate in celebrations and events as part of this Initiative. 8. Resource Library – build a catalogue system for existing materials and assist in building a comprehensive resource/lending library for professional use by our staff and our network of service learning practitioners.
